A petition was filed at Lahore High Court (LHC) against the private airline companies over hiking of air fares following the protests of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees against the institution’s privatisation.
Mohammad Imran advocate, in his petition, stated that the private airlines mafia is exploiting the PIA privatisation issue for its nefarious objectives.
The petition also claimed that the private airlines mafia was behind the protest of the PIA workers.
The petitioner pleaded to the court to order the Civil Aviation Authority for taking back its decision of hike in air fares and take action against the airlines over their inflated rates.
This is market economy where priority is to earn heavy profit as such fares can not be controllable .
