Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Saturday said that completion of Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) project would blow away politics of people who were criticising the project.
Addressing a press conference at 90 Shahrah-e-Quaid-i-Azam, he said that in the past Motorway was brought under criticism and that people who were opposing it then were now in its favour.
Sanaullah said that the project would be completed by the end of 2017 and that it would be a good thing if it was completed within the stipulated time.
The minister, responding to a query, said that the government was focusing on all the sectors equally, adding that work was being carried out on provision of clean drinking water, while the Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme, health reforms and agri package had been announced to facilitate the farmers. He said that many other steps were being taken to bring about an improvement in people’s lives.
This project is only for benefit of Lahore why not to be started for populous city of Karachi where restoration of circular railway is needed . Moreover people living in north of Lahore and travelling towards rGunranwala are suffering torturous moments from railway crossing to Ravi bridge as hours are wasted in traffic blockings . Nawaz government should pay attention to resolve this issue and make project for smooth traffic flow .
