Bilawal warns PM to desist from treating Pakistan as Ittefaq Foundries

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday warned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to desist from treating the country as Ittefaq Foundries, targeting the working and labour class in the country and restrict his Gullu Butts from threatening the protesting PIA employees.

“Let the message be clear to all and sundry. The PPP stood by the working and labour class from its very inception. We fought together with them for their rights and will continue to stand by our brothers and sisters from working classes come what may,” Bilawal said in a statement.

The PPP chairman asked his party leaders and workers to join the protests of PIA employees including the People’s Unity of PIA and tell the Nawaz Sharif government in unison that “we all are one and we won’t allow our nation’s assets to be distributed among Sharif cronies in the name of so-called privatisation.”

He further said that holding peaceful protests and demonstrations was the democratic right of the people of Pakistan but Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif seemed to be living under the world of dictator Ziaul Haq and using violence against protesters.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also warned the PML-N government to produce People’s Unity of PIA leaders Hidayatulah and others who had been allegedly kidnapped by “Sharif sleuths” and arrest the killers of innocent PIA employees without any delay.

He said that Nawaz Sharif government was wasting billions of rupees on boondoggle projects causing colossal losses to the national economy and pursuing an anti-labour policy to snatch the livelihood of millions of Pakistanis.

He also condemned “PML-N conspiracies against the 70,000 federal government employees whose services were regularised by the PPP government and asked the prime minister to desist from any move to turn them jobless.”
