Rawalpindi Arts Council on Friday arranged Tableaus (Kashmiri songs and speech competition) among school students to show solidarity with innocent people of Indian held Kashmir.
Senator Najma Hameed and MNA Tahira Aurangzeb accompanied by Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed were the guests of honor on the occasion while senior poet and columnist Naseem-e-Sahar and Mazhar Masood adjudged the competitions.
Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, Senator Najma Hameed said “we are determined on saying of Quaid-e-Azam “Pakistan Baney Ga Pakistan” and struggle for the liberation of Kashmir would be continued till its freedom”.
In Tableau Competition Al-Farooq School System secured first, Eden Grammar School got second, Spangle Hall got third while Bright Land remained fourth. All Pakistan Private School Management Association cooperated for the organising of the ceremony.
MNA Tahira Aurangzeb said that Pakistan nation is united with the people of Kashmir. She said that Kasmiris were sacrificing their right of self-determination, adding that Pakistan stands united with the people of Kashmir and government of Pakistan has raised voice at every forum.
Naheed Manzoor said “If referendum can be held in Scotland then why a similar practice can’t be held in Kashmir?”. Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed in his welcome address said that freedom of Kashmir is the voice of every Pakistani.
