Khursheed Shah wrote 37 letters to PM; PM only replied to 4

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has written as many as 37 letters to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif since the PML-N government came to power, while the PM only responded to four.

As per media reports, the opposition leader wrote a letter to PM on November 27, 2013, about the construction of Sukkur Barrage. In another letter written on December 3, 2013, proposals were given about the census while in a letter dated December 11, 2013 the opposition leader discussed the issuance of official passports to the members of provincial assemblies.

In a letter on February 19, 2014, the opposition leader sought cooperation from the prime minister regarding permanent appointment of contractual employees. The opposition leader also presented the recommendation for eradicating interest on the debts of House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC).

The opposition leader in the National Assembly also wrote a letter on the disconnection of gas supply to Pakistan Steel Mills while another letter recommended to renew the contract of oil and gas with Talal Bughti. The opposition leader also wrote to the PM asking for financial assistance for liver transplant of Deedar Hussain.

A letter was written to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asking to acquire land for the establishment of a residential colony for minorities in Bhara Koh near Islamabad. The letter also asked for assistance in the installation of a treatment plant in Dadu, a district of Sindh province.
