Too smug

There is a cartoon in this paper dated 23-01-2016 in which the caption says “NAP” wherein the PM is shown in deep slumber depicting a smug face which indicates conceit and too much satisfaction. The papers are full of the event of terrorist attack on a university in KP when the PM was out of Pakistan shaking hands with a pretty woman being PM of Netherlands. The face of a beaming Mian Sahib does not reflect the mayhem inflicted in Pakistan while COAS telephones to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and US army representative in Afghanistan over the dastardly attack in Pakistan.

It appears our PM is either too smug or is sleeping so deep that the sad event is not reflecting on his face. The abysmal failure of civil government in reacting to the slaughter of so many young students to the desperately sad plight of their families was a blood curdling event. When the evidence is clear that the attack was being monitored from Afghanistan, does not it give permission of United Nations to take out the perpetrators by the aggrieved country? This is a $64 million question that how long and how many times our educational institutions would be subjected to such attacks in future without retaliation of the sixth most powerful army in the world.
