On the instructions of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Division has restarted the process for appointment of community welfare attaches (CWA) in foreign missions abroad.
An official source said that a circular had been issued by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistani to all the ministries and government departments on January 25 calling for applications from officers in grade 17 to 19 for appointment as CWA.
It may be mentioned that the government had discarded last year’s exercise that selected 11 candidates after conducting test and interviews. The PM’s Secretariat was of the opinion that the due process was not completed and the selection process should be reinitiated.
The last date for filing the application is February 09. The applicants will have to pass a written test, like last year, conducted by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) before the interview.
