The government is planning to establish a trauma center in Islamabad General Hospital, Tarlai, Islamabad.
A proposal has been approved to establish 200-bed Islamabad General Hospital with estimated cost of Rs 2,718.410 million and the project would be completed in three years, an official in the Ministry told APP.
He said three rural health centers are functioning in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) including Bhara Kahu, Tarlai and Sihala that were provided health facilities to people.
These units include primary health care, vaccination against eight EPI target diseases, mother and child health care services, outpatient’s department services, free provision of medicines, he added.
He said that 14 basic health units are working in Islamabad Capital Territory equipped with all facilities and doctors round the clock.
No trauma center existed in the rural health center functioning under the control of health department. However, ambulances services are available in these centers, he added.
