Alleged Indian spy detained in Charsadda

Security forces on Sunday apprehended an alleged Indian spy, along with his three sons, who worked at the Indian Consulate in Afghanistan, in Charsadda.

As per details, the security forces while tightening the noose around terrorists after the Bacha Khan University attack, carried out an operation in Charsadda and detained alleged Indian spy Naveed Khan, whose original name is Khan Agha. He worked for the Indian consulate in Afghanistan, along with his three sons.

It has been learnt that the suspect had been residing in Charsadda for a long time and was masquerading as an Afghan refugee. He also had a fake Pakistani computerised national identity card.

According to initial investigation, the three sons of the alleged Indian spy are on the payroll of the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). They were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

Meanwhile, law-enforcement agencies arrested five suspects with arms and explosives from Mehmoodabad area. The raid was carried out on a tip-off about the presence of suspects in Mehmoodabad area. According to officials, the arrested suspects hailed from North Waziristan Agency, Bajaur and Afghanistan.
