Anti-tank landmine defused in Sialkot village

The Bomb Disposal Squad in Sialkot on Sunday defused a high intensity anti-tank land mine installed at local fields near far-off bordering village Phookaliyaan-Bajwat along the Sialkot Working Boundary.

Local people found it while ploughing the fields and they informed the police. The officials concerned said that the landmine was-Indian made and weighed 10 pounds.

They said the landmine was used by India during the 1965 Indo-Pak war, which could not explode and was still alive, which was defused on Sunday, averting the area from heavy disaster.
