A comprehensive survey has been started to ascertain number of government houses occupied illegally or being misused by the employees in the federal capital.

The government houses are being used or occupied after the expiry of employment period, against the rules.

The inquiry would be conducted against the elements involved in such activity or misusing the apartments, flats, premises falling under the jurisdiction of the Capital Development Authority.

An official of the Estate Department of CDA told APP that survey was being carried out in the residential sectors of the capital after the complaints.

Those employees who have completed their service period should vacate the official houses.

The government is making all efforts to provide residential facilities to its employees.

People are misusing the official property or giving rooms on rent for earning money. A report would be completed after the survey and action would be taken against the people violating the laws, the official sources said.
