PTI central leader and Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed has said that the Orange Line Train project will lead to the economic murder of the masses.
He said affectees of the project are facing severe problems but the government is paying no heed to remove their grievances.
Addressing a press conference along with leaders of other political parties here on Saturday, he said that he was not against train project but he was against the mode adopted for implementation of the project. He stressed the need for completion of project keeping in view the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) study.
The opposition leader said that a protest rally would be held at Mall Road Lahore on February, and six protest camps would be set up at the train project route.
Mehmood demanded of the government to adopt tunnel boring technology for train project.
