National Assembly (NA) Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah has said that that he will move the court if his detractors failed to prove their charges against him.
While talking to reporters at his residence, he said that being the opposition leader, he was answerable only to the prime minister.
“Chaudhry Nisar is not of my calibre and I will not reply to his baseless diatribe against me. I will give a reply to the Parliament in the presence of the prime minister. I will clear myself of the allegations on the assembly floor. If they fail to prove their allegations, I will resort to court,” he said.
“It is not my cup of tea to give responses to every small and trivial thing,” he said adding that Nawaz Sharif has seen a hard time and he should keep an eye on the evolving situation, and see what was going-on in his government.
“Those levelling allegations against me are inexperienced,” he said. “We have always tried to save democracy at a cost of being termed friendly opposition,” Shah said.
“Imran Khan is claiming that a secret deal has been reached between the government and the opposition, especially the PPP. Some people in the PML-N are also agreeing. Now, it is the prime minister’s turn to a reply to clarify the deal,” he said.
Replying a question about the privatisation of PIA, he said that the country could not be run by selling out national assets and institutions.
