The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would hold election for a mayor and three deputy mayors for the federal capital on February 15.
The schedule of election will be issued in the next week, according to an ECP official.
He said that already elected chairpersons from 50 union councils of federal capital along with 27 members from reserved seats would elect mayor and deputy mayors.
There would be electoral college of 77 members for this election, he added.
However, he said that all elected members of the union councils including councilors and vice chairman could contest the election for seats of a mayor and three deputy mayors, he said.
The LG Act provides the first meeting of the local government should be held not later than 30 days after the notification of elected members.
