Sana invites opposition parties for discussion on mega projects

Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that someone misguides opposition regarding ongoing development projects in Punjab including Orange Line.

He said that instead of baseless propaganda, opposition should fix a day for discussion of development projects including Orange Line Train in assembly session. He said that there is no city in the world which is metropolitan and has not services like metro bus and Orange Train. Why opposition is raising hue and cry if Lahore joins the comity of international cities with these projects, he questioned.

He expressed these views while addressing a pre-session media briefing in Punjab Assembly, here on Friday.

Sanaullah said that the opposition is out to stop the journey of development. However, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif is committed to executing these projects, he added. He said that development projects of Punjab government are unprecedented with regard to transparency and it has also been acknowledged by Transparency International in its recent report. He said that this report has raised our morale. He said that opposition is following the policy of telling so much lies that feels like truth.

Sanaullah said that there were two objectives for announcing holidays for schools till January 31. One was to review security of schools and other was to protect the children from extreme cold, he added. He said that Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and opposition leader Khursheed Shah are senior politicians and situation will improve within next few days. He dispelled the impression that salaries of assembly members in Punjab are being increased. He said that the salaries are not being increased rather are being brought closer to those of other provincial assemblies and National Assembly.
