Opposition members of the Punjab Assembly Friday termed the conflict between federal interior minister and the Punjab government regarding the closure of schools in the province as confusing.
Opposition is of the view that there is no harmony between the federation and the Punjab government.
However, the government members believe that the step was necessary for the security of children.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar was offended by the closure of schools in Punjab. However he praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for opening the institutions.
On the other hand, opposition members criticised the government for not showing seriousness on schools issue.
Members of the ruling party claim that steps are being taken to tighten the security of schools. They have said that the security of children is the top priority whereas the schools have been shut down for a few days to ensure the safety measures.
