14 policemen sacked over corruption

As many as 14 policemen in Karachi were removed from their offices over corruption on Thursday.

According to details, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East Zone Kamran Fazal said he could not allow any kind of corruption in the police department and that was why 14 police officers and constables had been sacked. The sacked policemen include two inspectors, two sub inspectors, four assistant sub inspectors, two head constables and four constables. According to sources, these policemen were using a secret cell inside Karachi airport for illegal activities including receiving bribe money. The police took action and investigated the case after getting complaints and sacked the policemen as they proved to be guilty of being involved in the corruption.
