Hundreds of daily wage teaching and non teaching staff, working under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) have called off the two month long protest after the authorities assured them of timely resolution of their issues.
The decision to call off the meeting was taken after a standing committee on Cabinet Secretariat assured the teachers that a clear-cut policy about their regularization would be taken up by the CADD ministry within a month.
Committee member Asad Umar reiterated that they will join in the teachers in their protest in D-Chowk if a policy regarding the daily wage staff was not devised within a month.
