NAB team attacked during raid at ex-AJK president’s house

A senior official of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was injured on Wednesday when a team of the accountability watchdog was attacked by supporters of former Azad Kashmir president Raja Zulqarnain during a raid on his house.

According to details, the NAB team conducted a raid at Raja Zulqarnain’s house but they were met by stiff resistance of Zulqarnain’s personal guards who attacked the NAB team and injured Deputy Director Asghar Ali.

Earlier, NAB had arrested Raja Zulqarnain’s son on corruption charges in relation to the Rental Power Plant case. His son was arrested on charges of corruption amounting to Rs 128 billion.

Meanwhile, AJK Premier Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has taken notice of the attack and ordered an enquiry into the incident.
