All army-run schools in Karachi will remain closed from January 27 (today) till Jan 31 (Sunday) in wake of serious security threats.
An announcement to this effect was made late Tuesday evening. According to the announcement, all army-run schools in Karachi will remain closed for five days and reopen on Monday. Sources said the announcement about closure of schools was meant to boost security following last week’s Taliban attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda. Earlier, both government and private schools across Punjab were closed from January 26 till Jan 31 for the same reason.
