Kudos to the enlightened columnist Yasmeen Aftab Ali for a very comprehensive evaluation of ground realities. She has identified those responsible for the tragic episodes of terrorism. She has identified the key characters, sources of their indoctrination, collaborators and described their role explicitly. Her closing lines sum it so well as under:
“We need to understand that we must meet and overcome the challenge we are facing. We don’t have a choice. Do we have the will to fight terrorism?” However, I would like to add that we need to work out a comprehensive plan to emancipate mentally as many people as possible from biases, prejudices and fixations of all kinds. This in turn calls for setting up institutions, manned by psychologist, sociologists, enlightened religious scholars and politicians of the locality.
