The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered Inspector General of Police (IGP) to provide foolproof security to all educational institutions in the province.
Justice Ali Akbar Qurashi was hearing the case regarding steps taken for security of educational institutions in the province.
During the proceedings, the petitioner stated that students are future of the country and it is responsibility of the government to protect their life and property.
The petitioner regretted that unfortunately government has failed to provide security to the educational institutions. He prayed the court to direct the departments concerned to provide foolproof security to these educational institutions.
The court ordered IGP Punjab to provide foolproof security to these institutions and disposed of the petition.
