Arrest warrants for MQM chief, 21 other leaders issued

A local court on Monday issued arrest warrants for Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain for delivering an anti-Pakistan speech and 21 other MQM leaders for inciting violence.
In July last year, the MQM chief had delivered a fiery speech against security agencies of the country.
In September last year, the ATC had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Altaf Hussain in the criminal intimidation case registered on the complaint of Colonel Tahir Mehmood of the Sindh Rangers.
Senior MQM leader Farooq Sattar is also among 22 party leaders whose arrest warrants have been issued.
MQM’s mayoral candidate for Karachi, Waseem Akhtar, has got bail in the same case till February 16.
