Biting cold weather accompanied by dense fog in the province prevailing for the last one and half week has badly hit routine life and caused minimum temperature to drop to 3C on Monday.
Due to severe cold and dense fog blanket over the province especially in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and other plain areas, people’s normal life has suffered.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department Punjab, same weather conditions are likely to continue for the next three to four days. But after a good rainy spell is expected from Friday and the weather outlook is likely to change, said experts.
Minimum temperatures in some cities during last 24 hours: Skardu -12C, Astore -09C, Gupis -08C, Hunza -07C, Gilgit -06C, Kalam, Rawalakot -04C, Quetta, Dir, Malamjabba, Parachinar -03C, Bannu, Kalat, Sibbi -02C and Bunji -01C.
