MPA Jawed Nagori escapes attack in Lyari

Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) of Sindh Jawed Nagori escaped unhurt as gunmen ambushed him in Lyari late Saturday night.

The MPA was passing through Lyari’s Kharadar area when the gunmen attacked his vehicle. But the gunmen fled after Nagori’s guards retaliated. No loss of life was reported in the incident.

Last year, Jawed Nagori’s brother Akbar Nagori, who was a Sindh minister at the time, was injured in a hand grenade attack at his office on Shah Waliullah Road, Lyari in May 2015. He later succumbed to his injuries at Civil Hospital Karachi, where he had been shifted along with five other injured.
