Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Monday arrested six culprits including President of Oil & Gas Development Authority (OGDCL) housing society over corruption of billions of rupees.
Director FIA, Inam Ghani said that massive corruption worth Rs650 million was conducted in purchase of land and development of the project of OGDCL housing society.
He said that after cancellation of pre-arrest bail of seven culprits of the scandal, FIA detained six including the president of the housing society while raids were being conducted to arrest the contractor.
The detainees included President of the Society, Umer Khan, Babar, Khan, Rashid Janjuha, Aftab Shah, Muhammad Rashid, Adnan Kiani and Faizan Azam while efforts to arrest the contractor Azhar Awais were in progress. The nabbed culprits would be produced in court on Tuesday to obtain their physical remand.
