Local police arrested two kiln owners and a manager on the charge of hiring children for labour in violation of Child Labour Ordinance 2016,police said on Monday.
Assistant Commissioner City Ata-ul-Haq,while accompanied by police, raided New Manthar Bricks at Moza Thathi Lal,Sunday evening where he found kiln owner Malik Shaukat and manager Shafqat taking labour from a teenager Munir Hussain, 13.
Another raid was conducted by a police team headed by DSP Sift Hussain at Al-Raheem Bricks, Mouza Bahawalpur Sukha where kiln owner Ahmad Nawaz was getting labour from two adolescents – Adnan, 10, and Shaban 11.
All the three accused were arrested on the spot and separate FIRs were registered against them with PS Muzaffarabad under sections 5/6 of Child Labour Ordinance 2016, police said.
