The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed three alleged terrorists in a late Friday night shootout in Layyah.
According to CTD sources, the operation was conducted on a tip-off about the presence of six terrorists in Golay Wala forest. The sources said the terrorists opened fire at the CTD personnel and hurled grenades, and as the attack was repulsed, three terrorists were killed while their three accomplices managed to escape. The terrorists killed in the shootout belonged to the banned al Qaeda.
