Three injured in Peshawar IED blast

At least three people, including the caretaker of a local mosque, were wounded when miscreants targeted a vehicle through an improvised explosive device here on Sunday.

According to police officials, unidentified miscreants had planted a bomb close to a bridge near Phando Chowk which went off with a huge bang when the vehicle of a local mosque’s caretaker Qazi Salahuddin passed by. The vehicle was completely wrecked in the explosion while Salahuddin and two others aboard the vehicle were injured.

Rescuers and security officials rushed to the site of the blast and ferried the injured to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) where their condition was stated to stable.

The area was cordoned off as the law enforcers started a manhunt for the terror suspects.
