The contingents of Islamabad Police and Pakistan Rangers have conducted search operations in various areas within the jurisdiction of Bhara Kahu Police Station and nabbed 25 suspects, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
He said that search operation was conducted in the areas of Dhok Abbasi, Nai Abadi and Kot Hathial in the jurisdiction of Bhara Kahu police station. It was headed by SP (City) Ahmad Iqbal and Islamabad City zone police and contingents of Pakistan Rangers participated too.
Along with the arrested, 35 kg explosive material, three pistols and ammunition were also recovered.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said the purpose of his search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SDPOs and SHOs to continue it. He has also appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform the police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
