Pakistan offers to act against Haqqani Network in exchange for action against New Zealand cricket team

Islamabad – Our Militant Correspondent: In a new proposal to the international community, the government of Pakistan has offered to take full, unqualified action against the infamous Haqqani Network in exchange for action against the New Zealand cricket team.

“We had a different policy regarding the issue,” said Foreign Office Spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah at a press conference. “But after viewing the immense damage that Pakistan has faced at the hands of other militant groups, we feel that a reciprocal action would be a win-win situation for everyone.”

The Haqqani Network, a syndicate affiliated with the Afghan Taliban, the TTP and with alleged links to the Pakistani establishment, is considered to be the mastermind of terror attacks in Afghanistan. Additionally, it is said to be providing safe havens to certain elements that carry out attacks within Pakistan. It is on the list of the US’ most wanted terrorist networks.

The New Zealand cricket team is a shadowy network also known as the Black Caps, whose reign of terror has hit many countries, but most recently Pakistan. Their most feared commander, who only goes by the name Anderson, tops the Government of Pakistan’s list of most wanted individuals.
