Advisor to Chief Minister (CM) for Information Maula Bux Chandio expressed his dissatisfaction over the security policy of the federal government and said that the central government desperately failed to protect the lives of innocent people and urged the interior minister to step down admitting his failure to fulfill the assigned responsibilities.

Talking to media persons after visiting the photo exhibition depicting the political struggle of PPP and its workers organised by Aagha Feroz at the Hall of Benazir Bhutto Park, Clifton, on Friday, Chandio said God forbid if attack of such magnitude had happened in Sindh, there would have been urgent call for removal of Sindh CM and wrapping up of whole democratic system in the province.

He said all the institutions were pursuing corruption and other ills in Sindh province only but no one seemed to pay heed to the law and order in other areas of the country where barbaric terrorist attacks were claiming lives of innocent school-going children, university students, common men and personnel of LEA.

Chandio said had the National Action Plan (NAP) been implemented in letter and spirit, no such horrifying terrorist attack could have taken place in Bacha Khan University. He demanded of the federal government to launch operation under NAP in Punjab to cleanse the province of terrorists and extremists who had no believe in humanism and human values. He said unfortunately there was soft corner for terrorists and extremists in some political circles.

Earlier, he visited the photo exhibition of Bhuttto family’s political struggle and journey and appreciated the hard work of Bhutto family by photojournalist Aaga Feroz. Chandio said he would convene a meeting of officers of archives department to preserve the historical struggle of PPP depicted in the pictures.
