25 suspects held in capital

The contingents of Islamabad Police and Pakistan Rangers on Saturday conducted search operation in various areas of PS Bhara Kahu and nabbed 25 suspects, a police spokesman said.

He said that search operation was conducted in the areas of Dhok Abbasi, Nai Abadi and Kot Hathial in the jurisdiction of PS Bhara Kahu. The search operation was headed by SP (City) Ahmad Iqbal, SDPO (Sect) and SHOs of city zone police stations and contingents of Pakistan Rangers. During this search operation 25 suspects were nabbed and 35 kg explosive, wire, 3 pistols and ammunition was also recovered from them.

SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said the purpose of his search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SDPOs and SHOs to continue it. He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
