At least seven workers were killed Tuesday when a boiler exploded at a private sugar mill in Shorkot tehsil of Punjab’s Jhang district.
The explosion in the mill, located in Cantt area of Shorkot, also left eight others injured, who were shifted to hospital.
Two of the injured workers were said to be in critical condition.
Police reached the sugar mill shortly after the blast and started their investigation into the incident.
