Senior Minister Nisar Khuhro on Tuesday flouted the Sindh Assembly’s no smoking rule and desecrated the sanctity of the House when he lit up a cigarette on the assembly floor.
Khuhro who is a former speaker of the Sindh Assembly and a parliamentary leader, rose from his seat after the assembly session ended and lit a cigarette puffing away the smoke and along with the regard for rules passed by the same assembly.
TV footage showed Nisar Khuhro lighting a cigarette and smoking it casually while surrounded by male and female members of the assembly.
MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi said, Nisar Khuhro has committed the mother of all violations inside the assembly considering it is the same assembly which had passed a resolution against smoking.
