Senate on Monday rejected a bill regarding regulation of Hajj and Umrah operators after treasure benches voted against it.
The bill was presented before the Upper House of the Parliament by Senator Azam Khan Swati.
Addressing the house, Azam Khan Swati said that we are trying to facilitate pilgrims but the government is opposing the bill.
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf on the occasion said that government is bringing two separate bills to regulate and facilitate the business of Hajj and Umrah operators.
He said the bills after approval of the cabinet will be presented before the parliament.
