Locals protest as Imran Khan’s Battagram visit cancelled again

Locals protested on Sunday against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as his visit to Battagram was cancelled yet again. Enraged protesters raised slogans against PTI the chairman and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.

According to details, Imran Khan and Pervez Khattak were set to visit Battagram’s Tehsil Alaai to inaugurate a micro hydel power project there. However, while a large number of protesters kept waiting for them, the two PTI leaders didn’t make it to Battagram.

The protesters said that Khan had announced his visit five times but hadn’t reached there once. Party sources said that the visit was cancelled due to bad weather.

The micro hydel power project was, therefore, inaugurated by District Nazim Attaur-Rehman and Deputy Commissioner Zareef al-Muaani.
