Talented Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin has been spotted in Karachi!
The star is now on her way to the capital Islamabad, while rumour has it she’s in town for a project.
Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Sharmila Faruqui also bumped into her at a dinner. “I think she’s here for a project,” said Sharmila. “She’s a lovely girl and she gelled with everyone present. She’s very different from what she appears to be onscreen — on screen she looks larger than life and in person she’s very petite! She’s very beautiful.”
While we are also eager to know what brings her to Pakistan, we are sure that the project will be something to look forward to. Her recent performance of ‘Paper Machine’ had her fans applauding her for speaking out boldly against the treatment of feminist issues in journalism.
Kalki, who speaks openly about sexual harassment against women as well as child sexual abuse appeared in a film Margarita, with a Strawin 2014 and got a lot of critical appreciation. She was also a part of Zoya Akhtar’s film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Last week Indian actor Om Puri was also in Karachi for Nabeel Qureshi’s upcoming film Actor-In-Law, proving that art and entertainment transcend any political friction between the two neighbours.
