Capital Development Authority (CDA) has failed to give substitute plots to the flat allottees of sector I-15 even after more than a decade since the allotment was first made.

According to details, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed NADRA to complete the special software so that the process of allotting the plots can be made transparent. However, NADRA has still not designed the software.

CDA has to allot the flats measuring 1400 sq ft to approximately 8,000 people against the payment of Rs 1 million made in installments since December 2005, but the project has remained on the fritz even after 11 years.

In 2004, the price of the plot measuring 25×50 was approximately Rs 0.2 million but the plots were not allotted to the 8,000 peoples who deposited Rs 1million for each plot.

Earlier, on March 4, 2015, the estate management director told the allottees of the flats that their names would be included in a draw which was scheduled to be held on March 26, 2015. However, due to negligence of the civic agency, this draw has also not been held.

The news agency reported that it could not get the spokesperson of the civic agency Ramzan Sajid on the phone to get his comment on the issue.
