The bodies of a couple were found from a flat near Garden Market area of the city.
A neighbour tried to contact the couple on phone and also rang the doorbell, but failed to get response. Subsequently, he informed police about the situation. The police reached the scene and found the couple lying dead inside the home. They took the bodies into custody and shifted them to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. According to the police, the couple had got married eight year ago.
The police sealed the flat and started further investigations. No reasons could be ascertained immediately regarding the causes of death.
Meanwhile, a person was gunned down, while other was injured in different incidents in Lyari Baghdadi. The victim was identified as Ishtiaq, brother of a political leader. The identity of the injured persons was kept secret. The police shifted the injured and the dead body to a local hospital. The injured was provided with medical assistance at the hospital. The police registered cases and started investigations.
