Punjab government Spokesman Zaeem Qadri has said that PTI Chief Imran Khan’s statement regarding cutting of forests is contrary to the facts.

He said that people are fully aware of false claims and allegations of Imran Khan. Commenting upon the statement of Imran, Qadri said that Mr Khan is perturbed over the speed of work on metro train project. He said that Imran Khan’s criticism against metro train under the garb of cutting of forests is ridiculous. He said the Punjab government is strictly implementing the policy of conservation of forests and PTI leader should pay attention to Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and should not be worried for forests in Punjab. He said that Imran Khan, who claims to bring revolution and change, is only passing his time through leveling baseless allegations.

Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Forests Malik Asif Bha Awan has said that the allegation of cutting of 70,000 trees in Changa Manga is a bundle of lies as the ban on cutting of green trees is being strictly implemented in the province. He said that instead of cutting trees, Forests Department is following the policy of planting of trees. He said that tree plantation is being carried out in Rajanpur after recovering 20,000 acres land which was in illegal possession for the last 30 years. He said that there is no truth in the allegations of Imran Khan and he is in the habit of telling lies.
