Two gangsters arrested for looting expats

 

 

Special Investigation Unit ((SIU) of Islamabad Police has arrested two gangsters involved in looting foreign-return people after impersonating as police and custom officials, a police spokesman said.

According to details, SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani assigned the task to SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas for ensuring the arrest of those involve in looting people returning from foreign countries.

Following this assignment, a special team headed by DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon including Sub-Inspector Muhammad Tehseen, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Tipu Sultan, Rana Tasneem Ahmed and others was constituted under his supervision. This team started investigation into various such cases and initially succeeded to arrest three gangsters identified as Nauman alias Nomi, Masood, Shahid. Following investigation from these nabbed criminals, police team nabbed their two other accomplices Haroon Shehzad and Mazhar Iqbal.

During the preliminary probe, they confessed to snatch foreign currency from Aashiq Hussain returning from Dubai near PSO petrol pump on Islamabad Highway in Loi Bher police station.

Similarly, they admitted to loot Sudhair Ali in Secretariat police area, Sultan Sikandar Haidri, Qurban, Munshi Kha in Sihala police area and Khalil ur Rehman in Koral police area.

Further investigation is underway from them and police team is hopeful for more recoveries from them. SSS Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance of SIU police team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the members of police team.
