Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that development and prosperity of the people of rural areas was top priority of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government.
Chairing a high-level meeting here to review progress on the second phase of Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme here, he said the programme was a milestone for the prosperity of rural economy.
The Rs150 billion Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme after completion would change the lifestyle of rural population, he added.
The Chief Minister directed the authorities to devise a comprehensive load management system for roads.
