The death toll due to food shortage, pneumonia and diarrhea reaches 49 as three more toddlers lost their lives. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army set up a relief camp in Tharparkar on Friday.
Dozens of children have been hospitalised in Mithi Civil Hospital and hundreds of children have been admitted to other hospitals as well. The Sindh government’s negligence has added to the miseries of Thar residents. So far, 49 children have lost their lives this year.
The relief camp was set up by the Pakistan Army’s 18th Division in Tahparkar’s Kaneko village were food items and medicines are being distributed. The Army is also providing clean and fresh water to the Thar resident.
