Authorities in Switzerland have rejected the plea for political asylum filed by self-exiled Baloch leader Brahamdagh Bugti, a private media outfit reported on Friday.
According to details, Bugti is entitled to challenge the decision over the application he had filed five years ago.
Bugti, the grandson of former Balochistan chief minister Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, is accused of supporting insurgency in Pakistan’s southwest province.
Lately, in a couple of interviews with foreign media outlets, Bugti expressed his willingness to come to the negotiating table. He also conceded that former Balochistan chief minister Abdul Malik Baloch and federal minister Lt-Gen (r) Abdul Qadir Baloch had approached him as part of government’s efforts to bring peace to Balochistan.
