There are fast changes taking place in technology and trade in today’s modern world, hence we have to work hard to concentrate on quality control. The manufacturers need recognition for their products and services in order to maintain quality standard which will help them standout and compete not only in Pakistan but also in the international market. This will also be leap forward towards consumer empowerment.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan said this while addressing the award-distribution ceremony of 5th “Quality Standard Award 2015” organised by The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP). The governor’s message was read in the event which also lauded the services of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority and The Consumers Eye Pakistan for the promotion of standards and quality in Pakistan.
He further stated: “The quality standard award is a positive initiative as these awards have been given to only those organisations and individuals who maintain outstanding capability to manage their products, services, customer relationship, leadership and customer satisfaction.
“I am confident that the business community of Pakistan will become more aware about the importance of quality standard and consumer rights and will convert their products into leading brands. The governor admired the efforts of the organisers and congratulated the winner awardees.
Umar Ghauri, CEO Quality Standard Award and Chairman TCEP, in his welcome address thanked guests and congratulated award winners of 2015. He said that the Quality Standard Award was a tribute to the businesses that cared quality and maintained standard at highest level in Pakistan.
FPCCI’s Waseem Vohra as chief guest appreciated the organisers and extended his full support to the management of Quality Standard Award. He appreciated Chairman TCEP Umar Ghauri for his excellent services for the promotion of quality standards in Pakistan.
He congratulated winners for their unrelenting struggle making their products and services an outstanding success for their customers. Engr MA Jabbar, BOD member Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), highlighted the importance of standards and working of PSQCA.
Congratulating winner awardees, he showed confidence in business community that they would be more conscious about the quality standards for the betterment of their economy. Deputy Commissioner Malir Deedar Hussain Baloch, on the behalf of Karachi commissioner, appreciated the activity of quality standard award and assured full support.
Other speakers from corporate sector who also spoke on the occasion included CEO Dewan Cement Syed Mohammad Anwer, GM Lucky Cement Syed Nusrat Ali, CEO OneApple Tahir Rizvi and Abrar-ud-Din, owner Naheed Super Market.
