Teachers in need of salaries in Nowshera

The female primary school teachers, who were promoted seven-month ago on regular basis in Nowshera district, were deprived of their new salaries and demanded PTI government to issue orders for its early release.

The affected teachers on condition of anonymity told APP on Monday that 105 female primary school teachers in Nowshera were promoted from BPS-12 to 14 on regular basis on the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) in May last year whom are still awaiting of their new salaries.

They said all necessary documents and service record were submitted at the office of district education officer female Nowshera for fixation of new salaries but still its implementation was awaited.

They said most promoted teachers were transferred to far flung areas and are spending hard earned money on transport charges to fulfil their professional obligation, adding delay in fixation of salaries and payment of arrears is creating problems for them.

“We have approached to the office of DEO Nowshera on a number of occasions for resolution of the problem but decision was yet to be implemented,” they teachers said.

They said Nowshera was the home district of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and expressed the hope that CM Pervez Khattak would take personal interest in quick resolution of their problem.

The teachers requested Provincial Minister for Education, Muhammad Atif Khan, provincial secretary education and district education officer female Nowshera to address their long pending problem on priority basis so that they could continue their professional duties in most effective manner.
