As many as 2,032 persons were booked on the charge of breeding dengue larva during anti dengue drive in 2015.
Dr. Bilal Ahmad, District Coordinator for Dengue Elimination told the media persons here on Sunday that anti-dengue teams checked more than 1 million houses and 236,268 outdoor sites for dengue elimination.
During campaign, the anti-dengue teams found dengue larva at 856 sites including 508 indoor and 348 outdoor places, he said and added that cases however were registered against 2,032 persons on the charge of recovery of dengue larva and not making cleanliness condition up to the mark as stagnant water was most suitable and attractive sites for dengue breading.
Dr Bilal further said that anti-dengue teams also sprayed pesticides at 32,674 sites, whereas 94,200 fish were released in 268 water ponds for the elimination of dengue larva.
During 2015, as many as 12 patients were reported with dengue fever. However, most of them belonged to other cities.
