The Chaklala Cantonment Board has decided to shift a slaughter house from Lal Kurti to areas adjacent to Akbar Market near Mareer Chowk.
Sources said that the slaughter house was being shifted in the wake of growing public complaints and security reasons. “The Lal Kurti slaughter house is likely to be closed down next week and slaughtering will start at the new location,” the source said.
