Lahore – Our Mannerless Players Correspondent: Pakistani T20 team captain Shahid Afridi has officially apologised to the reporter that he was rude to a week ago.

“Not only have I apologised to him, but I have also decided to mend my ways,” said Afridi, speaking to reporters at the National Cricket Academy. “I have decided that I am going to take my media handling lessons from a smooth and refined cricketer: Chris Gayle.”

Saying that he has already contacted Chris Gayle, Afridi told reporters that the West Indian batsman had said he was thrilled to be able to share some of his methods with him.

He then spoke directly to the reporter in question, Dunya News’s Sanaullah Khan, to ask a question now and he wouldn’t respond with his previous, curt answers but with Gayle’s finesse.

“Come on, ask now. Hey, why are you blushing?” asked a nonplussed Afridi. “What did I do wrong now?”
